I know I tend to harp on rather a lot about My Happy Planet, but I think it's justified. Especially given how much time it helps me kill at work (plus it's semi work related, yay translation) and how many cool new people I've met, I think it's justified! What's surprised me most is how, with very little effort, I've managed to arrange to meet some of these people in the real world. Tonight I'm catching up with a guy called Yusaku in Himeji for a few beers, and then on Monday night I'm going for dinner with a girl called Kazuyo. I'm also planning to sneak a final cheeky snowboard in before the season ends, with Minori, the first person I met. Obviously, I haven't met these people yet so I'm not counting my chickens, and there will be some people who I will never meet. Even so, I'm just to glad to have met some local people about my age that I can practise Japanese with. Sweet deal! =)
